CATTLlC i'!-.?'" wns a fairly liberal sup
ply of rattle hero today, but tho demand
on tin- part of packers was in good shape
mid the market looked about steady on
good cattle.
Tho market on hoof steers did not hove
quite the snap today that It did yester
day, but still the good heavy cattle, bitch
ns will do for export, and also the handy
weight cattle that are fat. sold without
difficulty at good steady prices. Some of
the commoner kinds, however, did not
move its freely, and in some eases sellers
were calling thu market a nickel lower,
and occasionally more. Practically every-
tiling, However, wns sold in good season.
The mipnlv of cows was none too honvv
today to meet the demands of buyers, and
the market ns a whole could bo quoted Just
about steady. The proportion or hutoher
stuff being received is not ns heavy ns It
was 11 short time ago, nnd ns n result
buyers have to pay good strong prlees In
order to get their orders tilled, and It does
not tako long for tnem to clear the pens.
Pulls, calves and slags did not show
much of any change from yesterday.
The demand for feeders did not seem to
bn any too nctlve, but the supply was not
large, unit as a resuu ine miirxct Held
practically steady. Thero havo been very
few buyers 111 from the country this week.
and for that renson speculators do not
want to get a big supply on Hand. Heprc
