furnishings from Odd Fellows' lodge No. 2
and a Chicago firm for about 41.00"). Ily
the terms of the contract the property Is to
be paid for In monthly Installments us the
money Is received from assessments, of
stock.
The authorized capital of the templo as
sociation is $30,000. and It Is the Intention
of the managers to dispose of $20,000 lu
stock of a par value of $6 per share, pay
able monthly In assessments of SO cents
per share. One assessment of $1 per share
was paid at tho time of tho purchase. It
Is the Intention of the association to re
model the building so that the dining room
and ball room can be us oil as a lodge room
and thus Increase tho revenues ot tho as
sociation. Another phaso of the purchase contem
plates tbo removal of the grand loilgo of
tho order from Grand Island to Omaha.
The association believes that the lower
rooms of tho building can bo utilized by
the grand lodgo to advantage. Under the
terms of the agreement tho stock may bo
purchased only by members of tho order
and may be transferred from tho original
holders only to tho lodges to which they
belong, so that ultimately the building will
te:omo tho property of tho Omaha lodges of
the order.
