Prof. Wesley N Clifford came to Coun
cil Bluffs two year ago from DesMolnes.
where he was principal of the West Ds
Moines High school. His work In the
High school here- has been most success
ful and he Is regarded as one of the very
best principals that this city has ever had.
Prof. Enstca is comparatively a young
man. He is a graduate of the State
university of Iowa and for the last three
years has been principal of the High school
at Iowa City. Prof. Clifford notlied him
by wire of his appointment and he tele
graphed back hts acceptance of the posi

The auditor's office at the state house
handles thousacds of blinks annually. All
Insurance and building and loan and bank
reports are made on large and costly blanks,
and this work has been done by the state
printer. Warrants are drawn and receipt
on warrants booked by the state printer
or by other persons through him. Occasion
ally a blank txok like those tor which the
printer and binder asked J 1.0)0 is wanted.
There are perhaps a hundred different
blanks used by the different offices. All of
these will now go to printers throughout
the state instead of to one printer in Des
Moines.

by a field mower tcday. The child got away

long grass. The driver failed to see until
