Bluffs, was sent to Otnaba Saturday to sell
popcorn. After she had disposed of ull but
two sacks she wot still Abort of the amount
of money required and decided to turn her
hand to something more remunerative. The.
little girl entered the. confectionery storo
of J A. Walters at 419 South Tenth street
late In the afternoon, while no one waa
watching, and tapped the till for tl. Ethel
was making a swift "getaway" when dis
covered by Mrs. Walters, who gave an alarm.
A couple of little girls playing nearby ran
after the Juvenile thief and held her until
the arrival of assistance. Nearly all of
the money was recovered. Tho little girl
was taken to the police station, where, sua
promised Captain Hayes that she would
never, never do euch a terrible thing again.
A neighbor who happened to be In the city
took her borne.
