ST. LOUIS , Oct. 11. The Olcoot commit
tee , appointed by the eastern stockholder *
and creditors ot the National Linseed Oil
company to arrange for a reorganization of
the company , has given up all hopes of ob
taining the co-operation of tlio'comralttco ap.
pointed by local stockholders nnd Is ap
pealing to Individuals to sign the agreement.
Several Bt , Louis stockholders today re
ceived copies of the reorganization agree
ment , with an earnest appeal to get as mqny
signatures as possible , but as thla agree
ment Is exactly the same as the one submit
ted a month ago , there Is little hope of acy
more signatures being received. A. 11.
Strain , who Is a stockholder anS an experi
enced linseed oil man , said today : "Thert
Is only one thing left to do , and that Is to
have a receiver appointed. Thcro is no
chance of a reorganization on a satisfactory
basis , and It the thing Is allowed to go nn
us It Is , there will soon bo nothing left.
Under n receivership thcro would ho tome
little salvage to bo obtained from the wreck. "
