Corn Is coming Into this city ( Beatrice ) , frqm all parts of the county , and the now corn is invariably of n first-class order , and finds a ready markf-t nt 40 cents. lioipnii The corn crop is snfo from frost. Two weeks ngo our farmers were looking toward ttio heavens nnd praying that the frost might bo stayed if only for n few davs. Now the danger Is past and a bountiful crop of the golden grain Is assured. The ncrcaco of this county is 10,000 and the average ylold will bo from forty to forty-live bushols. The quality will bo first-class and with the present prospects of a bolter than average price wo are looking towards the fierceness of tno winter winds with immeasurably moro complacency than wo did a year ago. HA * ns Ninoty-flvo per cent of our corn is out of the wuv of frost. The area is 07,000 ncros. The quality is first class. Tbo average yield will bo fifty bushels per aero. This is a most excellent corn crop in every respect , and taken witti the largo crop of small grain now bomg thrcsbcd puts our farmers In a moro prosperous condition than over before. HOI.T Corn is practically out of the way of frost. The acreage is much larger ttian it was last year. Howiitn The crop Is safe from frost with out a doubt. The acreage is 52,333. A con servative estimate would make the average yield per ncro forty bushels , but many farmers say they expect from fifty to sev enty bushels per ncro on their farms. Tbo quality is first class. HOOKIII : Most of the corn is safe from frost. Some late planting will require two weens moro. The acreage is from 1,200 to 1 , : > 00. The yield is about forty busnols per aero. Some pieces will"go over that , but the nver.igo will not bo greater. The quality will bo good fair corn , probably not first class. Tlio county Is not adapted to corn as well as It Is to small grain. The season too short. HAM. The safety of the corn crop from frost in this county is assured. The total acreage , ns near ns can bo asrertained Is 41- U2S ncrc.i , which is much larger than it has over been before. The average yield per ncro will bo between forty or fifty bushols. Many fields will produce a much larccr yield , but the nvorago will bo cut down owing to crop on low ground being somewhat damaged by nuns early in the season. IIMII.TOX The warm weather of the past week lias been highly advantageous to the corn crop , nnd fully 75 percent of It is secure from frost , the remainder requiring probably ten days longer. The total area is 121,000 acres. The most reliable estimates of the yield place It from thirty to thirty-two bushels per acre. The quality of the ma tured crop Is first clnss. JKFFIJII-OV The area of corn In this county is 200,000 ncres or obout that amount. Quality is good and entirely beyond danger of frost. The average yield is estimated at forty bushels per acre. The average per aero Is from thirty to riftv bushels. The quality Is first class. Livcoi.v-This county has the largest corn crop over known In this part of the stato. There are about 75,000 acres in this county which will yield on an average fifty bushels per aero. The quality will bo fir t class. No frost yet and nearly the ontlro crop is now out of danger. If the weather continues this wool ; as It was lost , no damage can bo done the corn crop. MKIWICK Corn is out of the way of frost. In fact frost would do it good now. Compe tent Judges place the yield for this county at 50,000 acros. It cannot bo estimated from assessor's returns , ns they are very incom plete. The quality Is good. MAIIISON The ontlro crop of corn is beyond yond the roach of frost. The quality will bo bolter thnn any crop since the mom s jlo year of 1S34. The uvorngo yield here will bo not leis thnn forty bushels per acre. NKMUU The corn crop Is at present en tirely .safe from trost unless the latter Is an exceptionally heavy one. The variety which Is still liable to damage Is the yellow and white dent , but if the fine weather con tinues a week longer all corn will bo safo. The corn crop is always good in Wavno county , but this is nn exceptionally peed year and the farmers tuo a'l ' feeling happy. Yoitic The corn Is safe from frost.
