Stocks No important feature in connection
with stocks was dorolopoi to-day. There are
more stocks on what is generally considered
the activa list that show advances than de
clines , but extreme fluctuations have boon
within very narrow limits , At the opening ,
prices generally weron shade lower with two
or throe stocks as much as J per cent below
the closing prices of last evening , from which
there was a rally , then a slight decline , then
on reports of impending war troubles In
Europe another small advance , with tha same
show of an increase in trading In a few stocks ,
then extreme dullness and slight fluctuations
until late in the afternoon , when prices gen1
orally yielded a fraction and the market
closed weak.
