St. Louis company. It was ouo night
some month * after that the epct'ornho
was in Montana , got on bis train , a
freight , on which Hie orders prohibited
passengers from riding. Anderson did
not say a ivord to him , until he reached
a lonely place near Albert Lee , where
there was not a station on either side for
near ten miles. Then ho stopped the
train and gave the spotter's baggage n
kick into the ditch and tcok the spotter
himself by the coat col'ar ' and slung him
after it. When ho arrived at Miunoapo
IU ho went to the superintendent and
taid : ,
"I found a spotter on my train near
Albert Lee and I kicked him and his
baggage off , and now I want to resign. '
The superintendent looked up rithor
pleased and said thera was no necessity
for reiigoltig , as the company was In need
