THE CHICAGO MARKETS. 'Special Dispatch to Tun BEE. CIIICARO , January 14. The demoralization of board of trade markets which began last week continued in the first part of the session to-day. Wheat opened nearly one cent low er , and was vigorously hammered > ilown by local boars , aided bv country Belling orders. The May option sold as low as 7J. Corn also fell oil nearly ono cant through sympa thy , but rceo\ered a portion of this when the crowd began buying. Provisions were firm , mesa pork advancing slightly , about fifteen cents , under manipulation of largo packers , The receipts of hogs vrnra not large , and will probably not bo , and they certainly will not bo cheap enough to afford much profit to the packers. About noon the excitement in creased on buying movement , iuduced by bettor cables and stories of export demand , prices rallied J to S nil around , and many strong operatoia bought heaUly. Both the wheat and corn markets on cM clewed at i above the last prices of thu morning session. The aggregate transactions were \ory largo , and speculation is enormous. The fooling at the clo. o was a trillo moro bullish. A very conservative operator telegraphed that the markets are in a condition to sell upon slight encouragement ; adviao not to soil anything more. Shipments .of . corn are expected to decrease , an it la most all in and the demand f rom southwestern markets is bettor. Ivansus corn Is being sold to Iowa , Nebraska , Illinois and Indiana fanners. " Another house telegraphed , "Crop of 1883 is substantially all in and the courto price * will take will bo determined by the events of the next few days. Wo nro bullish on corn and inclined to that sldo on whoai. " This is vain , able as an Indication of the fooling concerning the future speculation on the crop of 1883 , Speculation on the new crop will begin in 11 month in earnest. AND I'KOVISIONS.
