Geneva Rovfow ,
This week we incidentally discovered
another brilliant (1) ( ) meumnelt of ocon-
o ly enacted by our hate legislature. We
refer to the now hits' which relil11rce
nicety days to elapse after a county
warrant is issued before it can be
paid. This will be a flue arramge-
mont for the farmers tvhio are brought
in to servo the cburL They can wait
three Months for their pay , or turn it
over to the ghylocks , With this mw no
matter low ntucl uconoy clay be out held
warrants will never be at par. 11'hnt a
fine thing for money loaners and scalp.
ers. Always a safe investment for their
money. It will cost the county 15 to 20
cant more that : if warrants were cash ,
but thou the tax payers can make up
the dileronco and also sell their 1var-
rants at a liberal discount. This law is
also a grand thing for county treasurers
tvhlo arc inclined to speculate. They will
have three mionthls teen notice of all
niOIi0 8 that will be required of thou ,
and can turn many a dolhtr with the
people's money. WC should be at mu loss
to know how the legislature could naku a
