It was not to be, however, as the team was eliminated because of a low sportsmanship rating. Thii year the Harvey Smithers are back and looking to win the title they could have wen last year. "We were really disappointed last year after being eliminated from the tournament," said five-year-member John Grafentin. "We have some really good players back, from last year's team end we hope we can go ell the way this year." The Harvey Smlihers dem onstrated their explosive offense by winning their quarter-find game against the Head Warriors 45-6. In other quartcr-fmrJ rjimes last night the Buskins defeated the Hosd Warriors 18 6. The Phi Pd Express remained undefeated by beating 1 Eta PI 35-12 while America's team de feated Abel 8Sandoz 8 18-14. The key to this year's Harvey Smithers team appears to be lu experience and its talented women members. The team wss formed sis years fego according to orf gtasl member Bob Widh&lm. Among those girls are many members cf last year's Nebraska women's flag football team that participated in the National Women's Flag Football Cham pionships in New Orleans. The women members on the team include Gerl Magwire, Mary Maloney and Terri Killion. The Harvey Smithers' female members have helped them to dominate their opponents this year, but the Phi Psi Express team also pos sesses many of the women from the national qualifying team. The Phi Psi Express appears to be headed into a finals cl&sh with the Harvey Smithers. The Express is made up of members of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and many members of the Nebraska team that went to Nationals. "We know the Harvey Smithers have a great team," said Phi Psi Express captain JeffDebocr.
