Lin coln has just about any kind of bar one could want. WeVe compiled a partial list of the more notorious spots to drink, talk, dance and numer ous other verbs. Barry's, 235 N. 0th St. A good place to go for some food and brew. Older crowd. Barryraore's, 124 N. 13th St. A conversation bar with a lot of class. Bill's Soloes, 1010 P St. An average working person's bar that is trying to attract a younger crowd with live music. The Brass Hill, 1435 0 St Traditionally a Greek night spot. . Has one of Lincoln's few beer gardens. Chelsea's Pcb, East Park Plaza. Similar to Chesterfield's except it's on the other side of town. Great selection of import beers. Drink your way around the world and get a prize. Chesterfield, Bottonsley Cs retts 245 N. 14th. We were treated like royalty. Classic Dark is a specialty at this comfortable bar. Dincdsles, 1230 P St. This bar has style, expensive drinks and an interesting "mystery" drink. Dec Ecll&syg, 56th and Corn husker Highway. Doc Holidays is one of Lincoln's rare tradi tional "discos." DcS's, 1420 0 St. People from all walks of life get souped here. Uzny'a Vsnder Ear, 1621 0 St. Harry's is another working person's bar. Great jukebox. The "contemplation disk" in it is a must for star-crossed lovers and depressed others. AIcGnfTey's, 1042 P St. Nice place for conversation and booze, O'Eossrke's, 121 N. 14th St. Go Cubs. They're always tuned into the game unless Mary is there. But don't ask her to give you a fast pitcher. Feels like home. Oscars, 819 O St. Fabulous beer garden. 32-ounce beer is a great bargain. P. O. Pears, 3222 S. 9th St. Long neck night is great. Reputed to be a "meat market." Nice dec orations and plenty of room. Sandy's, 1348 O St. Friday afternoon specials are hard to beat and it's an easy place to win at pool Incredible lines on Friday afternoons. Tfca Sidetrack, Seventh and P streets. Trivia contests on Tues day nights. Thi3 i3 a piano bar, and everybody sings. Joyce Durand is the singing proprie tess, and she often is accompan ied by a bad bassist. This is sort of a cult bar it has a lot of regular customers. Durand can sing any song, and it's a guaran teed good time. Try the "Upside down Margarita" Really swings after football games. Stooges, 823 P St Home of the "fers" you name a number, they've got it. Top 40 discotheque. Sweep Left, 815 O St. Where quiche is spelled with a K and Go Big Red is a way of life. Zoo Bffr, 136 N. 14th, Lot's of sweat, music and fun.
