' Lincoln banks offer an array
of checking account services
some with interest, others with
insurance. The following is a
brief description of the check
ing service cflcrcdbysome down
town Lincoln banks.
First National Lincoln
First National Lincoln, 12th
and M streets, offers three types
of checking accounts. Regular
checking accounts require a min-.
imum balance of $400 or an
average monthly balance of $750.
Once the balance falls below
$400 or $750 respectively, a ser
vice charge is assessed along
with fees for each check and
withdrawal after the first 35
transactions each month.
First Choice checking pays
6.25 percent annual interest on
the daity balance. The interest is
compounded daily and is credited
to the account at the end of
each monthly statement period.
Service charges are not assess
ed as long as the minimum bal
ance is $500 or there is a total of
$10,000 or more in a regular
savings account or certificates.
If the balance falls below these
amounts, a $5 surcharge and
fees for each check or withdra
wal after the initial 35 traii3ac-

Super NOW Checking ac- charge,
counts require a balance of Economy Checking offers 6.25
$2,500, or more. Each day the percent interest with no min-

ing week.
There is no service charge for
accounts with a minimum bal
ance of $300. A $3 charge b
assessed if the balance falls below
checkb! accounts, each tailored checking to customers who have
to separate financial situations, payroll or government checks

Beth Check Clubs also offer
