Band ...
Continued from Psga 15
The band prefers to play in Lincoln, where a much
more creative atmosphere exists. Vandenberg said
Lincoln audiences are more supportive of the origi
nal material than are audiences in Kearney or
Omaha, which he called "a cultural wasteland."
Lincoln's creative music scene comprises two
genres: the hardcore punk and synthesizer art
music. The Sacred Cows plays a combination of the
two forms, using a hard guitar edge with the addi
tion of a Casio keyboard, played by Hasty.
"We're not art-bearers and we're not hardcore.
Maybe we're the best of both worlds."
