Pfeiffer said this weekend's rodeo determines who earns a trip to the Col lege National Finals Rodeo in June. The top two teams and individuals in each event qualify for the finals in Bozeman, Mont. The Nebraska men's team has made it to Bozeman the past two years, Pfeiffer said. This year, the men's team is ranked third in the region, he said. The w inner of the bull riding event this weekend might cam $400. Obviously, Svoboda said that something besides money motivates him, something he refers to as "the challenge and excite ment of conquering one of the best." Svoboda sajd he would like to con quer law school after graduation. But he said he does not rule out the possi bility of pro rodeo. In fact, he's a member of the Professional Rodeo Cow boys Association. 'That's one thing about inter-collegiate rodeo," Svoboda said. "You can ride in pro rodeo and still retain your - eligibility." A 20-year-old UNL stu dent told UNL Police Wed nesday night she had suf fered a third degree sex ual assault on the south west corner of 16th and R streets. The victim said she and a friend were walking on N the sidewalk when a man approached them and momentarily grabbed an intimate body part of the victim. The suspect, who fled west on R Street, is described as being in his mid-20s, dark-complected, 5 feet 8 inches tall with an average build and dark, straight hair. He was wearing a green army fatigue coat and may also have a moustache. The Lincoln Police De partment received a sim ilar report late Wednes day night or early Thurs day morning near the Capitol on 15th and H streets. No further infor mation was available on the case but police said they think the same per-, son may be responsible for both incidents.
