Almost every situation that could happen in space has been filmed and released to its ador ing public, but recently these space epics have been getting more and more unrealistic. One of these is The Ice Pirates OFFICIAL PASSPORT PHOTOS 7 DAYS A WEEK NO APPOINTMENT 13th & J JM 48th & Vine Leadership Development Program Develop outdoor skills and leadership abilities Outward Bound Experience Fall, spring courses Semester credit available I For a 4 Color Brochure, cnntacl; 945 Pennsylvania. The Ice Pirates consists of Jason (Robert Urich) the leader of the group, Roscoe (Michael D. Rob erts) who is the second in command, and a couple of other obnoxious peo ple. This crew tries to get the precious commodity of water (in the form of ice) away from the Tem plar Empire which has complete control over the galaxy's water supply. Jason kidnaps Princess Karina (Mary Crosby) from the Templar ship. She turns out to be the daughter of an unnamed man who was supposedly killed trying to find the seventh planet which has an unending supply of fresh water. There are so many things wrong with this movie that it's not even funny. First of all, the plot line is very confusing and hard to follow. If all the planets in the galaxy are so desperate for wa ter, people in the movie shouldn't be able to get a drink in a bar that easily. In fact, there should have been no bars at all but then they couldn't have had a scene mimicking the Star Wars Cantina scene. Also, we're never sure if the purpose of these pirates is to save the gal axy from the Templar Em pire's tyranny or if their goal is to get to the sev enth planet.
