The 32-voice group, under the direction of John Moran, associate professor of music education, has also recorded a half-hour radio tape for the American Broad casting Company that will be broadcast nationally on Christmas Day and sent to the Armed Forces radio network and the Voice of America. Senate Party Following Wednesday's Stu dent Senate meeting, the sen ators and other members of ASUN met a few miles south of Lincoln for a Christmas party. The party, which was held at Sen. Liz Aitken's house on Old Cheney Road, was high lighted by Santa Claus Kent Neumeister. Contact Nebrsk Union Program Offic for further Worawtion Interfraternity Council (IFC) Wednesday night elect ed Greg Andrews new Af fairs Committee Chairman, replacing the outgoing chair man Gary Larsen. The Affairs Committee Chairman coordinates Inter fraternity activities, includ ing the Interfraternity - Pan hellenic "No-In-U" dance, Greek Week in the spring, and other Greek activities. The IFC also approved the addition of Section 7 of Ar ticle III to the IFC By-Laws. The change would provide that if a man of at least sec ond semester sophomore standing desires to pledge but does not have the required 2.0 average or its equivalent, "he is eligible for pledging if he has at least a 2.0 aver age or its equivalent for each of the past two consecutive semesters." Summer school would not count as a semes ter, but would be included in the two consecutive semest er's average. The new section will be come effective immediately. An addition to IFC By-laws, Article II, Section 4, defining dirty rush, was introduced at the meeting. The addition defines "dirty rush" as "any untrue or de rogatory comment or action directed, either by name or implication, at any fraternity or group of fraternities." The addition also states that it "shall further be defined as any action taken, in a rush ing situation, that may be deemed derogatory to the Greek system as a whole." Discussion on the matter will be taken up at the next regular IFC meeting. It was also announced that nomination for IFC President would be open at the first IFC meeting after vacation. In other business, IFC Presi dent Buzz Madsen pointed out that today is the last day that a man can be pledged and still be initiated second semester. DeMars was also praised for his part in the Kennedy Memorial Library and other civic projects. "DeMars lives in a big world," the letter states, "he enjoys every thing." The letter also notes that while some seniors stop con tributing to school activities and the welfare of the school during their last year "De Mars never has." Scholastically the letter says that DeMars also deserves to be called an "Outstanding Nebraskan. "The letter ex plains that DeMars has a high B average and is an officer in a political science honorary "For some people one has to list achievements and hon ors, but for Cuz Guenzel all one has to do is know her to realize she deserves to be an Outstanding Nebraskan." This is how the letter began which nominated Miss Guen zel, University senior, for Outstanding Nebraskan. Frankness, quick thinking, cleverness and wit were all adjectives used in describing Miss Guenzel. Tlie writer of her nomination said, "She is one of the few people who will tell you what she thinks and she is usually right. Miss Guenzel does have activities and honors in every field if that is what one needs for proof, the letter stresses. Mortar Board, Pub Board, Builders executive board. She is now taking a full University load not to mention correspondence cours es. She has a solid A average and holds membership in many scholastic honoraries. The letter noted that Miss Guenzel has also held many offices in her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and that she was chosen a countess of Ak-sar-ben in 1963.
