Bill Harding, president of
Young Republicans, last night
urged the group to become
ready now for the primary
and the November election in
order that there may be a
Republican victory.
He said that the organiza
tion would be aimed mamly
at education until the primary
and then would become ac
tive in campaigning.
"The club will not take an
active stand on any candidate
until after the primary," said
Harding, "but will urge them
to let their platforms be
known." He said that candi
dates for state office would
be welcomed as speakers for
the group.
A resolution expressing the
deep anguish of the club at
the death of General of the
Army Douglas MacArthur
was proposed by John Reiser,
resolutions chairman, and
