Winning the toss the Nebras ka skipper Ashan Baquai chose to bat first and the team scored 70 runs for their ten outs. K-State, at their turn. scored 67 of the required 71 runs after six outs. However, due to the fielding and bowl ing (pitching) bv Dennis Kev in (six dismissals) and Bader Basrai (four dismissals) the remaining four outs were ob tained without any additional Kansas scoring, leading to a narrow Nebraska victory.
