The Cyclone ace topped 6-4, the existing dual rec ord, at the Big Eight Indoor meet last year. Shot putter Larry Reiners came within an inch of th meet mark of 53-3 as he won the event. The broad jump record of 23-6 could also faQ if sophomore Victor Brooks is ready to go. ; Junior Ray Stevens who doubled and won the mile and 880 last Saturday is expected to compete in these same events this week. If he has good competition, the mile record of 4:22.4 could fall as well as the 880 mark of 1:58.0. Against Kansas State and Oklahoma State, Stevens broke the tape with a 1:56.7 in the 880, over one full sec ond under the rec'ord held by Knolly Barnes. Wilke, the workhorse of the season, tied both the high and low hurdle records last week When he was timed in ;07.0 for the lows and :07.5 for the highs. He will have excellent competition in Iowa State's J. W. Burden, Bill Grenawalt and others. Ron Moore and Bill Fasano, both of Nebras ka, will help make the odds even. The 60-yard dash record of :06.3 is threatened by NU's Ray Knaub and Steve Pfister. Last Saturday Knaub nipped Pfister in the victory at :06.3. Both Huskers have been clocked in -.06.2. Coach Frank Sevigne will pick up extra strength with the addition of Gil Gebo, mid dle distance runner from New York City; Mike Fleming, dis tance man who returned after a tour of duty with the Ma rines; and Mauro Altizio, a distance runner from Lake wood, N.J. It used to be that professors, as soon as they were 28, took on a father image rumpled tweeds, tousled hair, pipe. But these days, the truly "in" professor has the "buddy" look Ivy suit, crew cut, Lucky Strikes. It seems that students learn more eagerly from someone with whom they can identify. Alert teachers quickly pounce on the fact that college students smoke more Luckies than any other regular. Have you pounced on the fact yet?
