Leaving on a clinic and lec
ture tour to England in Au
gust is Dr. Donald A. Keys,
chairman of the department
of operative dentistry. .
Dr. Keys has received an
invitation" to attend the 100th
anniversary, of the Swedish
Dental Society and to give a
clinical demonstration on the
"physical properties of re
storative materials in dental
practice."
He also will present the
clinic at the University of
London and will visit the
school of dentistry at the Uni
versity of Edinburgh and the
Dental School of Oslo, Norway.

Steicart Awarded
Princeton Grant j
Dennis Stewart, mid-term
honors graduate, has been
awarded the George McClean '
Harper fellowship to Prince--
; ton University.
The fellowship is one of the :
most coveted at the eastern
school, according to Dr. Paul
Olson, associate professor of
English. A grant of $2,450, is !
awarded periodically to a
graduate student who shows
exceptional creative abQity
and good scholarship.
Stewart will use the feUo
siup to study for his Ph. D. in
English at Princeton.
'Diary' Will Star
New Theatricals
The cast of the coming Uni
versity theatre p r 0 d u ction,
"The Diary of Anne Frank"
will feature a group of new
comers to the Howell Theatre
stage.
Miss Sharon Purbaugh will
play the part of Anne Frank.
Miss Purbaugh is a freshman
theatre major and appeared
previously in University The
atre's "Three Men on a
Horse."
The part of Margot Frank
is played by Lesly Smith.
This will be her first appear
ance on the Howell Theatre
Stage although she has ap
peared in several lab produc
tions this year."
Mrs. Frank will be depicted
by Louise Shadley, a fresh
man in Teachers College.
Mrs. Van Daans will be
played by freshman Sharon
B i n f i e I d, and Peter Van
Daans by John Abrahamzon,
also a freshman.
More seasoned actors ap
pearing in the production will
include Joe Hill as Mr. Van
Daans. Hill recently returned
from a trip to Israel. An owner-director
of the Dark Horse
Theatre in Estes Park, he re
cently appeared in the Kos
met Klub spring show and is
a member of Masquers.
Mary Dee Paterson will
play the part of the secretary,
MieU Mis Patterson is a
senior speech major and has
accepted an assistantship
with the University speech de
partment for next year.
Bill Larson, also a senior
theatre major will play Mr.
Kraler. Larson spent last
summer in North Carolina do
ing summer stock work and
plans to study theatre at'
Iowa State University on a
Fellowship. He is a member
of University Masquers.
Zeff Bernstein, who will
play Dossel, is a familar fig
ure on the University stage.
He has appeared in all of the
previous productions this year
and has done summer stock
work at the Dark Horse The
atre in Estes Park.
. James Baker will play the
role of Mr. Frank. He is a
senior speech major and staff
artist for the University The
atre. Baker designed the set
tings for Three Men on a
Horse and Pajama Game as
well as playing a part in that
show. He also is a member
of Masquers and has -done
summer stock work at Estes
Park.
