At the other end of the lad der are Kansas and Kansas State with 0-6 records. The remaining teams are bunched in the middle with only 1 games separating the third and sixth place teams. Iowa State, in third place wiin a 4-a record, is the only team in addition to the lead- Kickers Lose First The Nebraska Soccer team suffered their first defeat of the season, dropping a 10-5 decision to the Royal Air Force Detachment of Offutt Air Force Base at Omaha, Sunday. Offutt led all the way in taking the win. Hermann Kid der and Musa Wadadid scored two goals each and Les Heathcote added the fifth goal for the Huskers. Martyn Bowden, leader of the Husker win over a strong Lithuanian team earlier in the season, did not make the trip. Oklahoma State swept a three-game series from Kan sas State the past weekend by scores of 19-0, 15-0 and over Missouri. Missouri remained within striking distance of the Cow boys with three victories over to use last-inning rallies for two of the wins, 8-7 and 3-2. They led all the way in win ning the other game 8-2. Nebraska's seven runs in the opening game of the se ries was the most runs scored against Tiger pitching this spring. Only Kansas State had scored as many as three runs against the Tigers and that was in a 26-3 slaughter. ! Missouri pitchers have hurled four shutouts this spring. j In other Big Eight action, Iowa State moved from a fourth place tie into sole pos session of third place witn a sweep over Kansas. The Cy clones had little trouble in the first two games winning han dily by 17-2 and 11-2 but they had to go one extra inning in the final game before salvag ing a 4-3 victory. Iowa State jumped off to a 10-0 lead before Kansas crossed the plate in the 17-2 romp as Grant Halsne won his third game for the Cy clones. The Cyclones scored the winning run in the eighth in ning of the final game on a fielders choice with the bases loaded. Bob Hardin hit a ball between second and third and Dave Lewis scored from third with the winning run as the throw was too late to get him. Oklahoma dropped the first game of their series with Colorado by a 3-2 count but came back to win the two final games 4-2 and 19-2.
