Six engagements have recently been revealed. Engagements Borgaard-Backhaus Announcement has been made of the engagement of Dixie Bor- gaard, Alpha Chi Omega, and Murray Backhaus, Phi Gam. Lawrence-Oehlerking A recent Chi O engagement is that of Judy Lawrence to Dean Oehlerking, Sig Ep. Judy is a Teachers College sophomore from Tekamah. Brown-Scott Beverly Brown, AOPi, has an NU Students To Elect Snarf From Faculty "Professor Snarf of the Uni ersity of Nebraska" will be elected by popular vote May 19 in a contest sponsored by Alpha Phi Omega, boy scout fraternity. The purpose of the contest is to improve relations between the faculty and the student body and perhaps, if the contest is a success to set up a campus tra dition. NOMINATIONS OF p r o f e s- sors most resembling the ficti cious character of t h e cartoon series will be accepted through Friday. The professors will be contacted and asked if they would like to participate in the contest. OOnce his cooperation has been received, his nomin ation will be made public. Each nominee must be a bona fide member of the University fac ulty. The exact method of voting is pending the approval of student council. The winner of the con test will be presented at the Al pha Phi Omega banquet May 21, and presented with an en graved plaque. NU Music Fraternity To Present Concert Of American Music Sunday Sinfonia, national professional music fraternity, will present its annual spring concert Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Union Ballroom. The public is invited to the free program which will be composed entirely of American music. Besides the 40-voice male chorus several small groups will take part in the program.
