Thursday Lcpley's splashers meet Colorado State college at Greeley, and Friday the mermen enter the pool against Colorado University at Boulder. Colorado A. & M. at Fort Collins will be the Scarlet foe Saturday. Nebraska beat both Colorado U. and Colorado A. & M. last year by close scores but due to lack of numbers and depth the squad may not fare so well this year. According to Coach Lepley the original squad consisted of 30 varsity candidates but that has now been whittled clown to 15. Those making the trip are Jack Campbell, Conrad King, Bob Phelps, Bill Greer, Ed Craren and Fig Flagg. Marvin Grimm, Perry Branch, Ted Kanamine, Tom Harley and George Hill. Marvin Grimm aided in setting two ne waKnsas University pool records last week in Kansas. The Husker splasher set a new record for the 100 yd. free slyle of 54.7 and was on the record break ing 40 0yd. free style relay team. Other members of the relay team are Conrad King, Ted Kanamine and Perry Branch. Jack Campbell, Conrad King and Ted Kanamine set a new 300 yd. relay record of 3:07.5. Classified ON Campus Good board. Nebraska B Squad Cagers Beat Peru Reserves 60-51 Grabbing an early lead and making it stand up the rest of ths way, Nebraska's "B" team took a 60-51 game from the Peru "B" outfit in the preliminary to the NU-Washington contest. The Nubbins jumped to a 7-6 lead after four minutes, and then pulled steadily away to a 36 to 25 margin at the half. Walsh led his mates with 8 points and Bran denburg had 6 at intermission. The second half was played on ev en terms as Coach Mehring sub stituted freely. Peru cut the mar gin to eight points with eight minutes left but could get no closer. There will not be a rhalanx meeting this week. The next meet ing will be Feb. 2 in the Armory. This notice applies to pledges and actives. Sharp eyes at the free throw line gave the Huskers their well earned victory as both teams scored 15 buckets. Harry Good's charges dunked 18 of 26 free throws while Washington U. scored 15 of 30 in a game marred by 51 fouls. From the time Bus Whitehead was fouled after the game was j only ten seconds old to Claude Retherford's final charitv toss in I the waning seconds, the game was a scrap. The Huskers held the Bears to one point in the first ten minutes until Jack Barker broke through Nebraska's defense to pot two points. . Dave Pearce combined with Barker and Bob Light to tie the game at 11-all with Light's free throw making the margin. Johnny Palchelf's long shot from center court put the Bears ahead but a free throw by Retherford and a Kenny Anderson basket put the Huskers in the lead J4-13. The lead was shuffled back and forth in the last ten minutes of the first half Jack Barker's free throw tieinc the came at 18-all and Richard Pearce putting the Bears into a 19-18 lead at hall time. Bus Whitehead opened the scor ing in the final period of play scoring on a rebound to put the Huskers in the lead once more but John Palcheif countered with another long shot to shift the lead to the Bears. Bob Cerv. then evened the count with a charity. Rod Cox was fouled by Palcheff and the Lin coln forward sent the Scarlet into the lead. This was with two minutes gone in the second half and the Husk ers were on top for good. Midway through the final period Nebraska had built up a 42-30 lead but the Washington U.
