Wednesday, December I, 1948 Page 2 THE DAILY NEBRASKAN Another Problem. . . Basketball season at Nebraska officially opens tonight with the first home game against Northwest Missouri Teachers College. There has always been a sating problem at basketball games. In past years there has been the problem of not enough seats to accommodate the students attending the games. Therefore, this year an attempt is being made to solve the problem. All seats, in the coliseum are bing reserved for students except 1200 general admission seats in the south balcony and 600 faculty seats in the east balcony. All other spots in the building are for student seating. Fifteen minutes before game time, the general admission and faculty sec tions will also be opened to students if these sections are not filled. Seats are not assigned to activity tickets as they are in the stadium because of the limited space in the coliseum. This seems to be a fair way of handling the situation. The athletic department has tried to workout the seating arrangement to the satisfaction of all students, faculty and public giving students the advantage. It is unfortunate that the coliseum is not large enough to accommodate comfortably everyone that attends the games, but since efforts are being made to satisfy basketball fans, we urge students and other spectators to realize the problem of limited space in the coliseum and' accept the above out lined policy. An experiment is being tried and probably will work with co-operation. ISaying! Should College Men Marry?
