Agency Finds
Jobs for Ag
College Grads
Constant demand for agricul
turally trained men in soil con
servation, soil science, range con
servation and agricultural and
civil engineering is the motivat
ing force behind the ag place
ment bureau.
Carol Garey, instructor in the
soils department of the Ag col
lege, takes charge of this unique
department.
Started in January of this year,
the bureau has proved to be very
effective in directing Ag gradu
ates to jobs of their preference.
Garey emphasizes the fact that
the bureau acts only as a clearing
house between the employee and
the students wishing employment
after that it is up to the stu
dent to sell himself to his pros
pective boss.
Of the 120 Ag graduates ex
pected this year, about 30 have
already contacted the bureau.
Other interested students may
contact Mr. Garey in the experi
ment station on Ag campus.
