Approximately 2,200 eager freshmen armed themselves with pencils last Thursday and pre pared to go into battle. A well trained staff of medi cal experts was on hand to make sure that every frosh was physic ally ready to meet the enemy. With no 4-Fs in their ranks the green troops advanced upon the Coliseum into battle. English, math, science and others proved to be worthy foes. For some, the fight was short. For others, it was strictly an uphill campaign. However, with few cas ualties, the freshmen retreated to prepare for Friday's encounter. The same enemies were vaiting to meet the frosh Friday, and a terrific struggle again took place in the already battle scarred Col iseum. With the approach of eve ning, activities subsided and the troops moved back into their rest camps. The Coliseum campaign was over. A new enemy appeared on the battlefield Monday when registra tion was thrown into the fray. The frosh also were ambushed from time to time by small bands of red and white uniformed troops, Corn Cobs and Tassels by name, who specialized in riddling Freshmen pocketbooks. But the fight is almost over, freshmen. Don't give up now. Only one light skirmish remains nine months of just plain ol' school, a 1 i3th av 1 R St. I STUDENTS . .
