Off," the University Theater's only summer production. Palmer will play the role of the show-off, Aubrey Piper. Other lead is Line who will be cast as Amy. Other cast members in the order of their ap pearance in the play are Pauiyie Holm as Clara; Lou McLean, Mrs, Fisher; Don Johannes, Frank Hy- BILL PALMER land; Charles Wehrer, Mr. Fisher; C. E. Denton, Joe; Jack Norman, Mr. Gill; Milton Hoffman, Mr. Rogers. , Tryouts were held last week and the cast members are now in rehearsal with director Dallas Williams. The production has been sched uled for Friday, July 23, and will be held in the Union ballroom at 8 p.m. that day. "The Show-Off" departs rad ically in many respects from the form which has been associated traditionally with comedy, accord ing to critic Heywood Broun. How ever, Broun contends that the play is the best comedy which has been written by an American. The author is George Kelley.
