The production has been sched uled for Friday, July 23, and will be held in the Union ballroom at 8 p.m. that day. "The Show-Off" departs rad ically in many respects from the form which has been associated traditionally with comedy, accord ing to critic Hcywood Broun. How ever, Broun contends that the play is the best comedy which has been written by an American. The author is George Kelley. Excerpts from a preface written by Broun for the comedy read: 'Aubrey Piper moves under his own steam from the moment the curtain rises. At no time does one feel that the hand of the play wright is still on the wheel di recting the character to move in this direction or that in order to suit the exigencies of the story."
