"Meeting the Challenge of our Times" will be the theme of the Catholic student organization's meeting. States represented will be Iowa, Illinois, ansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Highlights Series. The convention will highlight a series of forums and discussions of delegates to formulate the policy of the Newman Clubs of the region for the next year. The Rev. Frank McPhillips, na- be the guest of the club's 940 members on this campus for the three days. Harold J. Luchctel, president of the five-state province, is in charge of the organization of the convention. He was one of Ne braska's delegates to the same con vention last year at the University of Illinois. The main address will be given at a dinner Saturday evening in the Union Ballroom by Chancellor R G. Charles Brendler, has won critic and audience praise at every stop on its annual snrinir and summer tour. Brendler enlisted in the navy when he was only 15 and in a years has played his way on a clarinet to the highest rank ever achieved by a navy musician. Lincoln concert-goers have n opportunity to help select the program offered at the two mu seum performances. Requests may be sent to Commander Brendler at the Naval Gun Factory, Wash ington, D. C, and they will be forwarded to him. The band's repertoire includes many old favorites, so there's a good chance that requests handed to the conductor before or even during the concert, may be played as an encore. HEAR Albin T.
