Lincoln Symphony Presents Season's First Concert Tonite The Lincoln Symphony Or chestra, under the direction of Rudolf Fellner, will present the first full concert of the season tonight at 8:30 p.m., at the Stuart Theater. The concert will mark the first appearence in a number of years of the entire orchestra on a program without the addition of a guest artist. When the 1947 48 concert series was planned this date was set aside for a performance exclusively by the orchestra. The program scheduled for tonight will offer a variety of numbers which have as a com mon denominator the ability to entertain both musicians and the laymen. The orchestra will open with the "Pastorale Symphony," one of Beethoven's delightful com positions. Except for one serious excerpt, The Storm, every mea sure of this work is cheerful. The composer has conveniently sub-titled his sixth symphony "Impressions On Arriving in the Country," "By the Brook," "The Storm." "The Peasants' Gay Gathering," and the Shepherd's Song." The second number, Johann Strauss's "The Bat," is another work in a light and fanciful mood. Equally well-known by its original title, "Die Fleder maniis" this overture is a subtle piece of musical humor.
