By Lee Harris. Spring is in the air, and the at tention of many is turning away from school work (where it ehould be) and to different form of entertainment that will solve their want for excitement. Among these varying forms, the average person still rates his own private dial twister as being near the top of the list of the best source of amusement. If it is your good fortune to be near both a radio and a telephone at 11 this morning, you might be in line for one of the prizes given away over the Telequiz, sponsored by KFOR at the prescorbed hour given above. On the local feature, Bob Johnson does the announcing, picks a number from the tele phone directory, calls the lucky number and if someone answers they are awarded with a prize. It really doesn't take much thought on the winner s part, but never theless the award still goes. Who knows maybe you will be one of the lucky winners. After a hard day in the library, coke stand or wherever you may have been during the day, you will enjoy a bit of comedy this evening. High-lighting the early evening shows is that lovable comic character. Baby Snooks. Snooks takes over CBS network at 7:00 tonight as she brings laughter and gaiety to her millions of listeners. A quick follow-up U offered over the same station, KFAB, at 7:30 when the Adven tures of the Thin Man takes to the air. This is one of the better combination mystery and comedy shows. Don t miss Baby Snooks end The Adventures of the Thin Man, both heard over KFAB to night. Tonight is "fight night" for all boxing fans who want to keep up with the latest in the boxing field. This evening KFOR brings to all fight fans the 10 round main event between Jake Lamotta and Tommy Bell directly from Mad ison Square Garden. This match should be a "corker," for Bell is out to get in the win column after his recent loss to "Sugar" Ray Robinson; while Lamotta figures as one of the better Middleweight oi ?ne day. Announcing the ac tion in the ring will be Don Dumphey (radio's best in the way of fight broadcasting); and Bill Corum will bring to you all the color that goes with such an event. Don't forget, tonight: The Cav alcade of Sports over KFOR at 9:00. Later in the evening Frankip Carl entertains for twenty-five minutes over KFAB.
