We do have a few requests, however. If it isn't asking too mucn, could we nave some sort of housing phoject com pleted soon? It's getting cold, you know. And a. satis factory bus system to and from the ag and city campuses would be appreciated. Perhaps a statement clarifying the entire athletic situation at Nebraska wouldn't be a bad idea. And please, some snow, so we can really get into the Christ mas spirit. But most of all in our Christmas stocking we sincerely nope lor a lasting peace that will enable the entire world to settle down to a normal and worthwhile standard of liv ing once again. We take this opportunity to thank yoa for our most prized possession of this year, Dr. Gus. He is ours now, you know, and we 11 do everything in our power to make him nappy to stay with us. We also want to thank you for sending back all of our .Nebraska men and women who served m the armed forces. Because of them, we have had the happy experience of liv ing in a year of nomal university life, educationally and so cially, it s done more for us than we yet reah2e. One last request. Tony Coreno, of Bunker Hill fame, will take over Ellen Smith Hall for a few little games of chance. Roulette wheels will be turning by the end of exam week Until dice tables are available, students will have to shoot for seven on the rug. a corree pot, joe pot to you salts, will be kept boiling In every classroom, to eliminate skipping classes for above mentioned bat tery acid. A nominal fee will be charred to cover expenses and necessary graft. Chera and physics labs will serve doughnuts and ice cream in addition. Two new parking lots for stu dents only, will be opened at 27th and X and 13th and A. A life size statute of Blue-Car Bennle will be erected in front of the Women's Dorm. U Hall will be razed to make room for a new helicopter parking lot, faculty parking only, 7:00 a. m. to 6:00 p. m. A seminar in slot machine op eration will be held daily in the Union lounge, prerequisites, Em bezzlement 1 & 2. To keep down veteran delinquency in the uni versity, the Union Book Nook will be the new home of Freddie's Cozy Campus Cabaret. Directories Going Fast There are still a few more Student Directories for sale although they are rolng fast. Be sure to get yours before yon go home so that you can have the addresses of your pro fessors in order to send them Christmas cards. You may1 purchase them at the Student Union Booth for fifty cents. Federalists, Unitarians Hold Joint Meeting At a recent joint meeting of the American Unitarian Youth and the Student Federalists, a discussion devoted to phases of federal world government was held. During the discuss. j problems facing the creation of such, a gov ernment were discussed at length. with the Student Federalists ex plaining their stands on the vari ous issues. It was pointed o ut by the Fed eralists that the most advisable plan was to call a world carver tion, under the stipulations at Ar ticle 109 of the United Nations charter, and by so doing get dele gates from all the nations of the world together for the purpose of establishing a world government that would meet the individual needs of each nation. A motion was made from the floor for the Unitarians to support world government that would be brought about under the pro visions of the United Nations charter, and was passed unanimously. Laboratory elaasea meeting for several continuous hours on one or two days shall meet for examinations aa follows: Classes meeting on Monday and Tuesday shall be examined on the date scheduled for the first boor of their laboratory meeting; Wednesday or Thursday classes on the second hour of their meeting; Friday or Saturday classes on the third hour. Z. Click, director of the praduate school of social work gave a Christmas party last night at his home for faculty and stu dents of the school. The party featured games, re freshments, and square dancing, and caroling. About 50 attended. A new location record for Para mount was established by the Technicolor production 'Cali fornia," starring Ray Milland, Barbara Stanwyck and Barry Fitzgerald, with 27 different sites being used. Sidney Lanfield, directing Bob Hope and Signe Hasso in Para mount's "Where There's Life, started his motion picture career i as a "gag man" during the "si-' lent" era.
