From all signs early In the week, the weekend will be an other one of those" when some thing big is going on every min ute. Parties, as if there weren't enough last week, will prevail again and the last home game will draw a big portion of Iowa State students. Duke Ellington will be at the Pike come Friday and a few who have a h eady made plans to at tend arc Johnny Itushton and his usual, Tish Gardiner, Miml Loomls and Hob Methcny and Dottie Hand and Dick Swan. Running competition to the old Duke will be the Phi Delt ex clusive for pledges-party. Accord ing to the pledges, "It's going to be too good to miss." A few of the lucky girls to be present are Cinny Trant with Vein Daniels, Phyl Harris and Paul Bloomer, Jody Wolcott and Fred Schroeder (they hit if off well at the last Phi Delt party), Ed Donegan and Janice Ryman. Dottie Manion's es cort will be Al Amsten. People are noli -ably busy hang ing pins again. One new pinning of lale is that of Hill Moorhousc and Jane McArtluir. The pinning tool? place Sunday night, to al most everyone's surprise and they passed the candy Monday night to make it official. Jo Rauer and Steve Wiles also took the fatal step which proves that Jo is par ticularly fond of DU pins. Bob Koite can now be added to the list of married men on the campus. The girl is Hotly Page, a long time steady. While on the subject of marriage, it is rumored that a duo engagement will be an nounced al the DU party, Nov. 23. Bill Skog will announce his en gagement to Carol Hcmmingson. Seen aound a great deal of late are Jean Hickey and Bill Vlchek while Anne Whitham and Johnny Connelly, a very common two some, will have a rendevous in Omaha Saturday night. Another' traditionally big party will be held Saturday night. The Phi Gam Dog Patch affair. Few dates are available as it was just recently announced, but Warren Eisenhart will be with Ann Phil lips and Annis Gilmore will be es corted by Jim Waters. Putting in their bid for a big party ore the AoPis who are hav ing a house party Saturday. Phyl Kohjer will be with Stu Tange mati, Joannic Marcell and Normie Williams and Buzz Howard with Char Miller. Coll-Agri-Fim Nite Rehearsal Dates Released Rehearsal schedules for skit and curtain acts for the Coll-Agri-Fun night to be held November 23, have been announced by Dale Landgren, manager of the board. Program arrangements will be made Wednesday night when skits are presented before board members in the Ag activities building. Wednesday's schedule is Amikitas, 7:00; Love Co-op, 7:30; Loomis Hall, 8:00; Ag Men's club, 8:30; Farmhouse, 9:00 and Alpha Gamma Rho, 9:30. Students participating in cur tain acts will appear before the board in room 306 of Ag Hall in the following order: Don Jensen and Keith Frederickson, 7:00; Der Kitter club, 7:15; Vodis Fidel, 7:30; Farmhouse, 7:45 and Home Ec club, 8:00. As Uraggiotti recently wrote, "Twenty-five years later I was to return upon the same errand in the same place for the wounded of another generation." For, in 1943, Mr. Uraggiotti again returned to Italy to serve as radio director with the Psychological Warfare Branch of the Allied Military Occupation. Since his return to the United States, Mr. Braggiotti has resumed a concert career that has won him international acclaim as a pianist, composer and musical humorist. That career has included music studies at the Boston Conserva tory of Music and the Conserva toire in Paris. Mr. RrafTiotti Radio Speaker s Will Be Chosen By Federalists The Student Federalist chapter of the university will hold a meet ing Thursday evening at 7 o'clock in Room 202. Sosh for the pur pose of selecting candidates for participation on radio programs to be sponsored by the Federalists, according to Herman Turk, chair man of the group. Interested individuals may pre sent trial speeches, which are to be judged by the club's faculty advisors and by a member of the Speech department. The talks should be about two minutes Jong and murt deal with some phase of World Federal government. Speeches will be judged on pre sentation, and on radio adapt ability. Various points concerning World Government will be open to discussion from the floor fol lowing the conclusion of the competition. Mr. Turk stressed the point that meetings are open to all students, particularity those interested in world government. made his debut as a piano soloist at the Salle Plcycl, the Carnegie Hall of Paris. During his concert here Sunday, Biaggiotti will feature the mod ern American classic "Rhapsody in Blue" which he reintroduced to the Italian people with great success as part of his war morale activities. Fred As t aire dropped ten pounds rehearsing and executing his last screen dance, "Pultln on the Rltz" for "Blue Skies." He announced his retirement from movies after the Technicolor mu sical was finished. Student Council All Student Council mem bers must be present at today's meeting.
