By Elite Swanson.
I suppise all you fraternities who
who aren't giving parties this
wekend are beginning to be
thankful as there are going to be
so many parties that competi
tion lor dates is a little stiffer
than usual.
The Sigma Chis seem to be
geling the urge to hang their
pins lately as three of the boys
have taken the final step. Arlie
Swanson surprised PiPhi sisters
when she could'nt keep it a sec
ret any longer and wore Bob
Pateison's pin to lunch Monday.
Another new Sig Chi sweetheart
is Arlene Shanefelt who passed
the candy making it official with
Tom Downs.
Fraternity Parties
The Phi Delt , party Friday
night will take place at ihe Pike
with Orrin Tucker for entertain
ment. Among those attending will
be Jody Wolcott with Fred Sch
roeder, Donna Brugh and Doug
Nelson and Jim Moore and
Nancy Mines.
Running competition for the
best party of Friday night will be
the Beta Crud Party. Dick Welton
will be with Nancy White and
Don Duncan with Gracie Swan
son. Most of the Betas are keep
ing their dates a secret, but Doug
Peters reveled under pressure that
her name might be Schmietz . . .
it doesn't look French, but that's
what he said.
An almost steady combination
composed of Pat Warren and Al
Casey have broken all dates ex
cept the Military Ball and Mortar
Board, but they are very defin
itely still friends.
The Kappa Sigs will have a
