The intramural football season enters its final week Monday, and the league champions seem to be pretty well established. In the independent league it looks like the Lilies are almost a cinch to win, after turning back the only other undefeated team, the YMCA, Thursday night They came thru with an impressive 12 to 0 victory. Houtz starred for the winners as he caught both touch down passes. The Lilies have yet to meet the V-9's which may give them a tough battle when they meet Mon day night. However, their team has yet to play a poor game and should come thru. The independent standings are still somewhat in doubt, pending the outcome ot the protested game between Presbyterian House and the Vets Organization, which ended with an upset victory for the Presbyterians, 13-12. Nebraska's Pep Queen was se lected Friday in an all-student election, following announcement of candidates Friday morning. j The Tassel organization, direc tors of the event, name five can didates each year and present the names to the student body who vote the title to one of the coeds half and went onto beat Kanna Sigma, 2-0. Although the Huskers copped first place, Missouri took the next three posi tions to win by 25 to 30. Nebraska's ace runner, Bobby Ginn led the field throughout the entire eight laps, and had enough reserve power left at the finish to widen the gap between Mis souri's Bill Slagle and himself to twenty yards.
