With versatile Emlen Tunnell m the backfield, as well as a host of ex perienced linemen, the Western conference team looks to be a couple of touchdowns better than the Huskers. Itflssrurl v.' Kansas State Here's where the Huskers get some company at the top of the Big Six standings. The Wildcats are in for another long afternoon. K uisas at Iowa State The pos sibilities of a horse meat diet might spur the Cyclones to treat hetehts in the hopes that the training table menu will be for gotten, but Ray Evans and his mates should squeeze thru in a game that can very well be one of the closest of the day. Oklahoma vs. Texas Big Six competition will be a welcome relief for the Sooners after they receive the full fury of the Long horn offense tomorrow. Coach Jim Tatum's boys won't even have enough energy left to take care of the schedule maker after Saturday's game. The result will furnish a comparison of Army and Texas strength. Army vs. Michigan: Altho the game will be the Cadet's most strenuous 60 minutes thus far, my vote rides with Blanchard and Davis. Illinois vs. Indiana: A Big Ten contest in which Bo McMillin's team will be striving for another win on the comeback trail. How ever the Hoosiers seem to be in for another setback. Notre Dame. vs. Purdue: The Boilermakers have been disap pointing this season, but will have no chance to enhance their rec ord against the power laden Irish outfit. Northwestern vs. Minnesota: Last week's surprisingly decisive win over Wisconsin makes the Wildcats one of the best in the Big Ten nine. Looks like another loss for the Gophers. Wisconsin vs. Ohio State: Both teams have trounced Pacific Coast opponents and both appear to be afflicted with streaks of uncer tainty, but the Buckeyes won their game last week and should be able to keep rolling. Yale vs. Columbia: One of the day's top games in the Ivy league where some of the nation's best teams are located, Lou Little's club dropped Navy, and on the basis of having met tougher foes, they get the nod over Old Eli. Duke vs. Navy: A meeting of the mighty who have fallen. The Middies dropped before Columbia and Tennessee won over the Blue Devils. Both teams will be trying COLLEGE COUPLE to ' manage dry cleaning shop. No experience necessary and living quarters included Good deal for couple. The Uclans' two team system should pay off with a vic tory. Penn vs. Dartmouth: One of the ea's powerhouses, Penn ought to make the Indians wish they were back in the safety of the Green Mountains. L.S.U. vs. Texas A. & M.: The bayou Tigers are potentially strong altho they have not shown well in two starts. Texas A. & M. has yet to win, and will have to wait another week. Southern California vs. Oregon State: Last week's loss to Ohio State should cause the Trojans to pour it on against Oregon State. The U.S.C. team has not conceded that Rose Bowl spot to their crosstown rivals. The lavish ballroom sequence in the Bing Crosby-Joan Fontaine picture "The Emperor Waltz," re quired one of the largest sets in Paramount history.
