Tues'day, April 30, 1946 THE DAILY NEBRASKAN Page 3 Track Team to Face Colorado Wednesday Coach Ed Weir's Nebraska track and field squad -will make its first home appearance of the outdoor season Wednesday against the University of Colorado, and thereby takes the feature spot on this week's varsity athletic cal endar. In addition to their Wednesday doings, the Husker thinclads will move to Columbia on Saturday for a dual meet with the University of Missouri squad. Colorado boasts a potent group of performers, Including three first place winners at the Kansas Relays. The Bison athletes also added the team championship at the Colorado Relays last week end, which Indicates that the Ne braska cindermen will have to hustle to achieve a team victory. The Scarlet basebail club also goes to Missouri, for a pair of Big Six encounters with the Tigers on Friday and Saturday. Little is known about the Bengals except that they began competition late this month. ' After scoring an unexpected triumph in their Friday tilt with Iowa State, the Huskers blew a three-run lead on Saturday and had to be content with an even split in the two-game series. The 6-3 victory posted by Tap Jacob April 26 was the third triumph of the season for Coach Frank Smagacz's men and their season record now stands at three wins and five defeats. Golf and Tennis.
