"Face-Lifting'9
Effects Change
In Law College
In preparation for its reopening
January 7, the university law col
lege building is undergoing a
complete "face-lifting." The build
ing has been closed for two years
due to the war.
A new indirect "daylight" light
ing system and a new healing
system are being installed
throughout the entire building.
The third floor law library has
been expanded and remodeled to
accommodate 15,000 additional
volumes and to provide space for
seven new offices and research
seminars for the new staff mem
bers. The downstairs court room has
been remodeled and painted, and
three offices have been added to
the main floor. One of these
offices will be headquarters for
the college's new legal clinic.
The law school club room has
also been remodeled and decorated.

Flash! Station R-A-G an
nounces the return of the party
dress! With houseparties and their
formal attire hogging the lime
light this week end, we decided to
concentrate on formals this sea
sons and next cuz they have been
neglected for too long!
This year's playful bustle-back
an eyecatcher if there ever was
one is going to be very popular.
Fashioned in brilliant plaid taf
feta, your bustle affair will be
stiff and rustling and all in all,
mighty pretty.
Delicate Pastels, sparkly white
favorites
The Empire gown, with its
decollete bodice of .satin and its
net skirt, snatched its name from
the modes Empress Eugenie made
famous. And hubby Napoleon 3rd
paid for! In foamy white, you'll
mirror every dream your favorite
escort ever had!
A veritable pink bonbon of a
gown is the party dress of mar
quisette, gold-frosted and high
necked. In delicate pastels, the
bouffant skirt makes this an ideal
dancin' dress. Then there is the
sparkly white off-the-shoulder
gown for that most formal of wed
dings. Tight-fitting till about the
hip-line, the bodice is crusted with
silver and pearls and flares grace
fully to your white satin toes.
Ballets inspire fashions
Too pert and stylish to be ig
nored is the new ballet-inspired
evening dress. A sleek black
waist accenting the net ballerina
skirt is beautiful as well as its
companion mode a sequin studd
ed marquisette skirt, whirling be
low a slim, cap-sleeved top.
We realize a dinner dress is not
quite in the party class but THIS
one is different! A slim column
of a gown, dramatically laced up
the back, this dinner gown is
strickingly different. The black
crepe skirt fits snugly and its top
ping of pink, coral, or-fushia is
accentuated by the black lacings
in back.
Look purty while you party.
