Hign school students have been notified of university activi ties by editions of the bulletin "Nebraska Todav," which is mail ed to every high school in the state. This new project has been successful in arousing interest in the functions of the university. "Nebraska Today" has been en tirely edited by members of the foundation who have written ar tides, supervised make-up, written headlines and mimeographed the entire bulletin. Acknowledgements from high schools have been re ceived and many schools have sent their school papers in exchange The bulletin largely concerns cur rent activities on the campus. At the request of Dr. Arthur E. West brook the March, 1944, edition fea tured the school of music. Entertain State Meet. In the spring of 1943 when Polly Petty succeeded John J. Douglass as president of the organization, the new officers began a project of providing entertainment for the high school basketball teams which attended the state tournaments held in Lincoln. A program was given in the Union for members of the teams, pep clubs and their parents. Performers from the "Red. Hot and Blue Show," which had been presented a few week si before, again presented acts for the visitors and after the show, the floor was cleared for dancing. Campus guides and university pamphlets were given to studentsJ and their parents. One of the projects last spring was an essay contest open to all high school seniors. Winners re ceived $50 and $25 scholarships upon their matriculation into the university. Every week during the school year the foundation has held a meeting of officers and district chairmen. Membership now total ninety. The report stated that "we very much appreciate the cooperation the Student Council has given tts in the past and hope that it Willi continue to foster our organization.
