DAILY NEBRASKAN 1 2&2flJ BY WE DUNNO. A new writer while former ed itor takes a day off. Sticking to conventions we present the moron of the day: Did you hear about Eob McNutt who wasn't worried about the berad being rationed? He liked toast better anyway! First of all, we offer congrat ulations to Barbara Schlater, Theta, and Bill Gist who have fi nally called it steady. And then condolences to the famed DU Dunker, who this time, is on the receiving end all because of Miss Pin Girl of 1943, Anamary Lee. Don't feel bad, Dunk, someone is getting a Phi Gam pin back too. Nancy Raymond may have for saken the Nebraska Betas, but nevertheless she is now the proud posscsser of a Beta pin. Betty Jo Leadley, Alpha Phi and Johnny Dale, Sigma Chi, had everyone slightly confused the other evening, all because of a false pin hanging. Although that one wasn't on the level, Gloria Walton and Frank Christensen of the same two houses aren't joking. Mutterings . . Five of the cadets asked me to enter in this story a challenge to the university basketball team, if Nebraska still has a team. "We'd sure like a good, well-organized game against any team this place has got," said their spokesman. In addition to basketball, the boys wanted to know all about the swimming facilities. When I told them that I only knew that there was a swimming pool and the hours of the girl's swimming classes, a cadet called Nick re marked, "Hmm I'll find out." After discovering how little I know about engineering, law, the Pan-American Union, entertain ment, and various other sundry things in which they were Inter ested, the cadets dismissed me to write my story with the phophetic statement, "We'll be seeln' you."
