Letters have been sent to several alumnae requesting them to write and tell us about the various or ganizations. Recently we received a letter from Jeanne Rowe, who is a WAVE and in officers training school. Quoting Jeanne, "I am in the first class of V-9s of the WAVEs and will graduate January 8th with a commission of ensign (I hope). There isn't much I can tell you as my classes are re stricted. I believe I am the only graduate of Nebraska here, altho thre was another girl in the first WVP class (Women's Volunteer Probationary), you undoubtedly know that. Concerning my college his tory, I graduated in 1938 (June) with a B S degree. I am affilated with Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Lambda Theta on your cam pus." Nebraska may be proud of her students who are contributing so much to the war program. Jeanne is but one of the many who are in the armed services from the University of Nebraska. Miss Faulkner Is Wed Today To Lt. Osborne Miss Eugenia Faulkner, (laugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Le Metcalfe, jr., will be married to Lt. Hitrold Jacob Osborne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Osborne, today at the Westminster Presbyterian church at 8:30 p. m. A reception will be held immediately after the ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mark W. Woods, the bride's grandparents. The maid of honor will be Miss Marilynn Woods, cousin of the bride and Mrs. Charles Curry of Kansas City will serve as matron of honor. Miss Jean Osborne, sis ter of the bridegroom, Miss Shir ley Woods, Miss Anne Smith and, Miss Annette Cross will be the bridesmaids. The ringbearer will be Allison Faulkner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Faulkner. Lieutenant Osborne has chosen his father as the best man. Ushers will be Thomas C. Woods, jr., Jack Stewart and Bill Edw'ards. Many parties have been given for the bride during the past week. The prenuptial dinner was Tues day evening at the University club. Mrs. Nathan Gold will entertain the bridal party at a luncheon this noon. The bride is affiliated with Kappa Alpha Theta. Lieutenant Osborne was affiliated with Sigma Alpha Epsilon. YWCA Freshmen Groups Sponsor 'Get-Together' Freshmen commission groups of the YWCA will meet today from 5 to 6 p. m. in Ellen Smith hall.
