Wedding Bells
will ring for Alpha Phi Marion
Fatton and ATO Harold Larmtm.
Marion is going to Washington
with Harold's parents where she
and Harold will take the final
vows Oct. 10.
Hayracks
are on the schedule for several
Betas and their dates this Satur
day night. Among the needles in
the straw will be John Safford
and Theta Marge Kenner, Chi O
Ruth Brickell and "Bernie" Sme
thers, Ken Peters and Peggy
Miles, also of the KAT hut. Five
Beta pledges have set out on a
little project, that is trying to get
a date with DG pledge Anne
Crosby. Even the actives sigh
when her name is mentioned, but
the pledges have been beating a
path to the Delta Gamma door.
Anyway, may the best man win.
Back to the hayrack ride, a couple
that has really been seen around
together a lot lately and will take
in that little party is Dorothy
Theissen, Theta, and John Mc
Carthy. The brothers predict a
pin hanging soon.
Confused
are the AOPis over Sister Mary
Allon and Delt Lloyd London.
They started dating last year and
the letters really flew thick and
fast during the summer. This fall
they decided to get together again
and last Saturday was on their
list. They decided to make this
next one a week end. Everyone
is beginning to wonder if this
won't soon be a steady deal, but
Mary keeps the whole thing in
the drrk, and the sisters unhappy.
Dorothy Latsch
AOPi and Lt. Bob Norton, ATO,
are being married tonight here in
Lincoln. After the ceremony they
will be off to Csmp Shelby, Miss.,
where Bob is stationed. Also
yesterday AOPi Jean Sundell and
Alp'ia Sig Dale Kinsman were
married in Omaha. Dale just re
ceived his wings in the army air
corps last Saturday. They are
planning to make their home in
Texas.
Alpha Chi
"Aggie" Fox, who is only about
five feet tall, was keeping her
eyes on the stars the other night.
George Hamberg, a Sig Alph at
Boulder, from "Aggie's" home
town, stopped by to see her on
his way to the Great Lakes Naval
training station. George is six
feet three but definitely, tall and
handsome.
Patriotic Decorations
and a six piece band will be the
feature of the DU's Victory open
house party Saturday night. Danc
ing and eating will be Bud Wehr
man with Alpha Chi Mary Lou
Holtz, Frank Meroncy with Kappa
pledge Dolly Clinton, newly elected
DU President Dick Gccsaman will
be there with Theta Anne Sea
crest, and Rog Anderson will take
it all in with Theta Tom Mc
Quistain. The Innocents
will be lunchir.g together Satur
day noon before the game in the
main dining room of the Union.
The Mortar Boards will be at the
Corr.husker. Take a good look,
because they will wear, for the
first time, their new black blazers
trimmed in gold with the Mortar
Board emblem. Their outfits are
completed with black tailored
skirts and white blouses. The gals
of the senior honorary will be
seen around the campus this win
ter in these official costumes.
