As in past years all-university church night will mark the offi cial opening of church activities for the university students. Thru out the year each church will have planned entertainment, young peo ple's groups, and other religious programs for the students who are interested and any of their friends. All university church night and all-university church Sunday, to be observed next Sunday, are planned as an inducement for all students to find their church homes in Lin coln and to attend a church of their denomination thruout their school year. Lutheran Lutheran students have the op portunity of observing all-university church night at the First Lutheran church at 17th and A streets at 8 p. m. The evening's program includes games, singing and refreshments, which will be under the auspices of the Luther Leagues and the committee for student work. Lutheran students of the Amer ican Lutheran Conference and of the United Lutheran Church may worship on all-university church Sunday at any of the following churches: First Lutheran, 17th and A Sts.; Grace Lutheran, 14th and F St.; Friends Lutheran, 6th and D St.; The American Lutheran, 24th and U St.; and Our Saviour's Lutheran, 23rd and N St. Recogni tion will be made that day of all old and new students. As an added observance of all university church Sunday members of the Lutheran Student Associa tion will meet at 5:30 p. m. in par lor X in the Union, with many old students present to welcome the new ones. Marvin Johnson, presi dent of the association will be in charge of the meeting. Feature of the program will be an interesting account of Ashram, the national summer camp meeting of Luther an students, by the association's camp representative, Lorain Will. During the meeting plans for the organization of the Lutheran Stu dent choir will be made. Games and refreshments will conclude the association's meeting. Presbyterian The Service Club is to be host to aH old students and specially in vited new students and freshmen at a party to be held at 8 o'clock in Fellowship Hall at First Pres byterian church. Mr. Ray Ramsey will be master of ceremonies in charge of entertainment and rec reation. Presbyterian students who are interested in Westminister Presby terian church may meet at a party planned by the young people of that church in the church parlors at 8:30 p. m. Cpl. Ralph B. Tef ferteller, a professional recreation leader from the south, now sta tioned at the Lincoln Air Base, will direct i great variety of cir cle and square dances as well as singing and other group activities. All students desiring transporta tion to any one of the Presbyterian parties are asked to come to the Presbyterian Student House ax Catholic Observance of all-university church night for Catholic students and their friends wall be in the form of a reception in parlors X Y Z in the Union at 8:30 p. m. At this time the chaplains, of ficers and members of the New man club, and the new and old students will get acquainted. Msgr. Barnes, chaplain, assisted by the officers will be in charge of a pro gram featuring dancing and games, followed by refreshments. Episcopal All Episcopal students and their friends may get acquainted with each other and meet the upper classmen in a general "Mixer" held in the club room of the University Episcopal church in observance of all-university church night. Congregational The annual reception and party for Congregational students on all university church night will be held at First Plymouth. The eve nings entertainment will be fea tured by the playing of the Caril lon by Miss Martha Vernon, caril loneur, a demonstration of the Great Organ by Mr. Myron J. Roberts, greetings from the pas tor Dr. R. A.; McConnell and from the president aof the .Sunday Eve a feature act by Miss Peggy Shel ley. Roller skating, dancing, and games will be part of the enter tainment for the guests. The wom en of the church will serve re freshments; pouring will be Mrs. R. A. McConnel and Mrs. R. D. Ray. Baptist Ag campus students and those living in East Lincoln ae invited to attend the all-university church night program at the Second Church where the evenings activi ties will begin at 7:45 p. m. Games, motion pictures and refreshments will be featured in the evening's entertainment. A second reception will be held by the Baptist churches for all new and old students at the Baptist Student House at 1440 Q St. at 7:30 p. m. Following the reception cars will take the students to First Church for entertainment led by Bob Marcotte. After a program featuring a magician, refresh ments will be served. Both churches will observe all university Sunday appropriately. Christian The First Christian church, 16th and K streets, will be hosts to all new and old Christian students at 8 o'clock in the youth parlors.
