MTU NEBRASKAN Freshmen Face Great Problems New Stiulcnts Study With Double Purpose: Themselves, Country Not in a quarter of a century have entered freshmen or Junior Division students faced more sig nificant responsibilities than to day, according to Dr. G. W, Kosenlof, director of admissions. Today they enter upon their studies with two purposes one . .. otfv: ::;:..: ;i - X J" -A I G. W. Rosenlof . , . "must not forget to prepare for post-war period." for themselves and the other for their country. Students feel they must prepare for service in the armed forces or in war industry first. They must also prepare for cit izenship for a postwar period and qualify for making their way in life as self-respecting citizens. Neither of these purposes may be forgotten in times like these, Dr. Rosenlof said. University authorities, including its instructors and administrative officers, are sparing no efforts to insure an educational program wholly in harmony with the de mands of our government. The director of admissions has announced that the office of ad missions is anxious to help or assist all freshmen and entering students, and students are urged to use the facilities of the office at any time.
