The editorial staff of the Daily Nebraskan with the cooperation of the United States government presents this complete survey of the qualifications, necessary periods of service, etc., of the armed forces of the United States with the thought that it may aid those who are considering enlistment in the various branches of federal service. These are critical times and critical times require a critical analysis of our capacities in order that we may best serve our nation and the countries resisting aggression. The Daily Nebraska is completely confident that the students of the University of Nebraska will rally to the cause whenever and wherever their services are required. It is completely confident that the students will continue their academic studies with the same steadfast zeal which they have in the past. It is with this confidence in mind that the Daily Nebraskan presents this survey knowing that Nebraska students will choose wisely; when a choice becomes necessary.
