Sunday, December 14, 1941 Houses Plan Pre-holiday Affairs DAiLV NEBRASKAN Despite the war and world con ditions, organized houses on the campus will enjoy the pre-holiday season with parties for house members and residents, alumni relatives and unfortunate children. Alpha Gamma Rho will give a dinner Tuesday night for members, alumni and their families, Thurs day at 2 p. m. the fraternity is giving a party followed by a sup per for youngsters in one of the orphanages. Pledges of Alpha Sigma Phi will present a program for alumni Wednesday. The program will follow a tt o'clock buffet Hupper and will be followed by an ex change of gifts. Aid Charity. Alpha Tau Omega will hold Its Christmas dinner Monday night. Each member will bring presents to be sent to a charity organiza tion for distribution. Thursday night alumni of Beta Sigma Psi will meet with actives and pledges for a party at which gifts will be exchanged. Members of Beta Theta Pi will entertain their dates at a dinner Wednesday. A buffet supper has been planned for alumni and their fami lies by Delta Sigma Pi. Each mem ber and guest will bring presents which will be sent to a children's home. After the supper the group will go to the Turnpike. Gifts Exchanged. On Dec. 17 members of Delta Tau Delta will meet for a party at which actives and pledges will have an exchange of gifts. Tomorrow at 6:30 p. m. the mother's club of Delta Upsilon will serve a buffet supper for mem bers Hnd their dates at the chap ter house. Monday Delta Upsilon will have children from private homes for a party. The children are chosen from individual homes where they would not otherwise have a Christmas dinner or party. Kappa Sigma actives, pledges and alumni will hold a stag party Tuesday. Names have been drawn and small gifts will be exchanged. Phi Delta Theta will hold a formal dinner dance Saturday, Dec. 20 at which their dates will receive favors. The dinner will be served at the chapter house. Monday each member of Phi Gamma Delta will have as his guest for dinner and for the eve ning a child from one of Lincoln's homes for dependent children. After the dinner each guest will receive presents front a huge tree. The Sigma Chis are planning two gala holiday parties, and Sig ma Phi Epsilon will exchange gifts at a stag dinned. Also exchange gifts after Christmas parties will be the members of Baldwin hall and Cornhusker Co-op. Both the Sigma Nus and the Theta Xis will entertain needy children with fellows at both houses furnishing gifts for the children.
