Head of the university division
of the 1941 Salvation Army main
tenance fund campaign is Prof.
C. K. Morse of the extension divi
sion, the general chairman of the
campaign announced Friday. This
is the sixth consecutive year that
Morse has led this panel of the
Army campaign.

wicked bucking goes to Bill
Greene's mechanical horse. A
saddled barrel tied to a plank that
extended to the rear of the Ford
caused many would-be cow-punchers
to "pull leather" as the blocks
tied to the rims of the rear wheels
provided the necessary flips,
spins, rolls, and reels to outdo the
riders.

Wong is from Chen-tu, the
capital of the western prov
ince of free China. It is 200
miles west of Chungking.
A graduate of Chinese uni
versities, Wong will describe
the civilian trek of the Chi
nese universities and the
people into the Chinese in
terior. This is the first time
a Far Western Chii.ese au
thority has visited the campus.

their a-cappella choir to the
Union, Sunday, May 18, for
a special concert at 4 p. m.
Dr. Theo G. Stelzer, judge
at the Ivy Day sings, is the
director of the group. They
will sing in the ballroom.
Barbs to hold
spring banquet
Annual all-barb spring
banquet will be Saturday,
May 17, at 6:30. Admission
is free for barb activity card
holders, and 50c for others.
All barbs are invited to
come and take part in the
festivities, which will mark
the last barb social event of
the year. Presentation of
newly elected barb officers,
briefly outlined plans for
next year, and varied enter
tainment for the banqueteers
is on the program.
