Feats of prep football men this year were emblazened across the sports pages of practically every paper in Nebraska. More than 7.000 hale high school boys from every corner of this commonwealth donned grid suits this season in an attempt to win laurels for their respeotive teams. Today, ihe Lincoln Junior Cham ber of Commerce pays tribute to the senior members of the Corn husker and Nebraska football squads; to Biff Jones, Nebraska coach who completed his first year here by bringing a Big Six championship to the campus, and to outstanding high school players and their instructors in the form of an All-State grid rally. The prep football season, Just completed, took a new turn. Ac cording to Gregg McBride, sports writer for the Lincoln Star and official compiler of All-State grid outfits, team performance rather than outstanding individual play was the trend. Conference Rulers. With the close of the grid year last week, it is fitting to glance at the holders of conference crowns. R. L. Cochran. Gov. Roy L. Cochran will offi cially welcome the Junior cham ber of commerce's football guests to the second annual rally at noon today. The governor's address will be directed principally to the high school gridders. high school men and coaches in the coliseum at 6 p. m., with the members of Tassels serving as waitresses. Nebraska Sweetheart Presides. The group will return to the commerce building at 7 p. m. where, after an hour of ping pong, billiards, or bridge, the movies of the l(i37 Cornhusker football team in action will be shown. With Margaret McKay presid ing over the evening program, the Alpha Chi Omega sorority will present their Kosmet Klub skit.
