At that lime the 10th street walk
will be widened from T to the en
trance of the stadium. This project
has been postponed at the present
time because of city work being

of the stadium.

speech for Warner. Many job
hunters have been circulating
among (he members in the legisla
tive halls.
The president presides over the
unicameral body when the lieu
tenant governor is not present.
Also to be selected is the ser
geant at arms, chaplain, first as
sistant to the chief clerk, ami
stenographic staff.
The new one house body of sena
tors is expected to be friendly with
the governor, and it is expected
that the assembly out of courtesy
will move the appointment of a
committee to noiify Governor
Cochran that "the legislature" is
organized and now ready to re
ceive any communication he may
have to make. The committeemen,
having conferred with the gover-
! nor, will announce to the legisia
i tors the date and time of the In
j augural message.
! Following the inauguration of
the state's officers, organization of
I the house, and election of officers
land committee on committees, the
! legislature w ill probably adjourn
! Friday until Monday. Bills may be
j introduced before or after the ad
i journnient and the first bills are
; those appropriating funds for leg
' islative expenses including salaries
of the senators. Salaries of the
, senators are SS72.09 a year, or
